Water Repellents
Major contributors to the increased rate of disintegration of masonry
surfaces:
- Layers of dirt retaining water on exposed surfaces
- Freezing and thawing, acid rain, stains and chemical reactions
Diedrich water repellents stop deterioration and will reduce bonding
of airborne dirt and hydrocarbons.

300-C Water-Base Siloxane Concentrate Water Repellent is
VOC compliant and specially formulated for use on pre-cast and site
cast concrete, clay and concrete masonry, stucco, and sandstone
where surface darkening is not acceptable.
Advantages:
- Reduces bonding of airborne dirt and hydrocarbons as well as
damage caused by the freeze/thaw cycle
- Provides protection against efflorescence
- Shows excellent resistance to ultraviolet rays and chlorine
ions
- Exceeds requirements of NCHRP244 & meets SSW 110C Federal
Specification and ASTM E514
Limitations:
- Not recommended for polished or unpolished marble, travertine,
limestone, polished granite, gypsum, plaster or synthetic resin
paint
- Temperature must be 40F or higher at time of application

303-S Siloxseal Siloxane Water Repellent is formulated to
protect against the intrusion of moisture that causes efflorescence,
leaching, mildew, atmospheric staining and freeze/thaw cycles.
Advantages:
- Effectively resists the effects of acid rain and carbon buildups
- Ideal for concrete flatwork, parking ramps, stadiums and vertical
concrete surfaces
- Reduces migration of sodium chloride ions through cement thereby
reducing corrosion of rebars in reinforced concrete
- Formulated for low-pressure spray application
Limitations:
- May not be suitable for some types of natural stone, limestone
& marble
- Not suitable for surfaces to receive paints or coatings
- Must be applied above 40F

Diedrich 303WB Water-Base Siloxane Water Repellent is a VOC compliant, water-based, penetrating, breathable siloxane product
Advantages:
- Specially formulated for use on precast and poured in place concrete, sandstone, clay and concrete brick, and
stucco surfaces where surface darkening is unacceptable
- Can be used on both horizontal and vertical applications
- Reduces bonding of airborne dirt and hydrocarbons
- Water damage caused by freeze/thaw cycles is reduced
- Provides protection against efflorescence and exhibits excellent resistance to ultraviolet rays, acid rain and chlorine
ion penetration
Limitations:
- Air and surface temperatures must be 40 F or higher at time of application. Re-pointing should be done and allowed to dry
before application. Caulking must be done and allowed to cure or until material is set, as per manufacturer=s instructions. Protect surrounding
non-masonry surfaces such as glass, aluminum, painted surfaces etc. Any inadvertent drips, splashes or runs should be removed with water
before solution has dried on the surface. Application of the product should not occur when rain is expected within 4 hours. Do not allow
product to freeze, store at room temperature (65F).
Typical Coverage Rates:
Note: must be applied as packaged and per recommendations, do not alter or dilute the product
- Poured in place & pre-cast concrete: 100-150 sq. ft./gal.
- Hard burnt brick: 125-150 sq. ft./gal.
- Soft common brick: 100-125 sq. ft./gal.
- Sandstone: 100-125 sq. ft./gal.

333 Omegaseal Water Repellent: is a split face block sealer
with heavy-duty solids and provides hydrophobic protection to masonry
surfaces through the formation of a semi-permeable membrane.
Advantages:
- The flexible membrane remains intact through thermal movement
of masonry, rejects water in the solid state and allows for moisture
vapor transmission - it breathes.
- Can be applied year round at 20F and above
- A unique blend of silicone polymers provides maximum resistance
to ultra-violet light and acid rain
- Functions very well for graffiti protection
Limitations:
- Can not be applied to wet, damp or dirty surfaces
- Not suitable for any polished masonry surface
